On a perfect summer day in Auburn, NY, Emma and Tyler celebrated their love with a classic wedding. A love story that began in a 5th-grade elementary school class led to this day, tying the knot in a classic, timeless wedding with modern touches at the Emerson Park Pavilion. The air was filled with excitement as friends and family gathered to see these childhood sweethearts finally say: “I do.”
For their color palette, Emma and Tyler chose the enduring elegance of black, white, and neutral champagnes. They wanted a clean and timeless aesthetic for their wedding, one that would stand the test of time. Dressed to the nines, Tyler and his groomsmen looked sharp and sophisticated in their black suits.
In contrast, Emma looked ethereal in her modern, minimalistic wedding gown. Her bridesmaids, in satin dresses in blush and champagne hues, added a touch of softness to the scene. The bouquets and boutonnieres reflected this classic color scheme, with white roses as the focal point.
Emerson Park was more than just a venue for Emma and Tyler—it was a symbol of their roots. It was located just 20 minutes outside their hometown, and the couple had their first date in nearby Skaneateles, which made the location all the more special. The couple could visualize their loved ones gathering in Emerson Park for a warm summer day, making it the ideal setting for their big day.
As guests arrived at the Emerson Park Pavilion, they were greeted with a beautifully decorated outdoor ceremony space. Nestled under the park’s grand, historic trees were arches with white roses and baby’s breath, setting the scene for the ceremony. White roses also flocked the edges of the aisle. It was July, and the weather couldn’t have been nicer as Emma walked down the aisle with her father.
Emma and Tyler chose to share their private, personal vows after the ceremony in the presence of only their immediate family. In this intimate moment, they expressed their love for each other without distractions. This emotional exchange moved everyone present to tears. There wasn’t a single dry eye during their vows, including mine! It was a beautiful sight and one I feel privileged to be part of.
Each guest was warmly greeted at their reception seat with a handwritten thank-you note from the couple. These heartfelt letters were tailored to each recipient, expressing gratitude for their presence, reminiscing shared moments, or articulating their significance in Emma and Tyler’s lives. Emma joked that even though their hands definitely cramped up and got sore in the process, the couple loved adding this personal touch for their friends and family.
Emma and Tyler have always shared a deep passion for music, so the couple hired a live band to play beautiful jazz throughout the cocktail hour. The band’s versatility was on full display during the reception as they played different genres, including many of the couple’s favorite songs. The presence of a live band added a unique touch to the night, adding one more layer to their unforgettable day.
The couple’s love for food was evident in the dishes served during the wedding. Their favorite dishes made their way into the menu, ensuring the food was delicious, and the reception was a reflection of them and their relationship. And with a shared love for breakfast treats, Emma and Tyler decided to feature a unique highlight— a donut wall that was an instant crowd-pleaser.
As the sun began to set, Emma and Tyler took advantage of the beautiful golden hour light to capture some breathtaking photos, basking in the setting sun and the newness of their marriage. These photos are a testament to their love and the magic of that day. The result was a series of intimate and romantic shots that perfectly captured their love.
To show their fun personalities and make the night even more memorable, Emma and Tyler orchestrated a champagne waterfall down their towering pyramid of glasses. It was a fun and elegant way to celebrate and made for some personality-filled photos, too.
Emma and Tyler’s wedding at Emerson Park Pavilion perfectly blends classic, timeless elements with modern touches. Their love story, shared passions, and unique personal touches made the day unforgettable. Congratulations, Emma and Tyler, on your beautiful journey together!
